I'm going to be working on getting the link directory back up for Admin-Talk. It'll likely be a subdomain as dir.admin-talk.com I have the backup of the old setup, and I'm going to renew one of my phpld licenses so we can update to the latest version of that script. (Will allow us to offer an listing for Articles as well as many other features) Right now I'm shooting to have this down tonight or tomorrow, but by this weekend for sure.
I just renewed my license and have the latest zip. Hope I can upgrade the old 2.x version to 4.1.0 easily.
The directory is up and running. http://dir.admin-talk.com/ It doesn't look very pretty yet but it took longer to upload the files then I thought and I have to go take care of a few things today. You can see an example of what will be possible with the new script here in the Admin Talk listing.
Hmm....wonder how long it will take to gain page rank. Wouldn't mind paying for a featured link if it had PR3 like http://admin-talk.com
It'll get page rank, I haven't even started building links for it. Unfortunately we lost all the old links from the prior owner, so it'll take a couple months to get ranking again. One thing I will say if you want a featured link at this price, go for it. They will be going up to 19.95$ for lifetime links, but you will have an option of up to 5 additional deep links with those submissions. So you can get one featured link now for the low price, or wait a till the first of the year and pay 20$ for 1 main link (root) as well as 5 more addition deep links for that domain.
sounds good btw, the directory is already getting indexed https://www.google.com/search?q=site:dir.admin-talk.com and it's only been up 2 days..
So back a few years ago when I last used this script you had to get in and change the code to get additional deep links added as an option. It's now built into the admincp and I can add several types of links if I wish.. Fantastic! I've added 2 options with "deep links"
Quick question and it may sound totally newbish, but whatever, I'm asking anyway, lol. What exactly do you mean by "deep links"?
no problem Last night I setup my extra twitter accounts to auto post the new links when added via the RSS feed
