I wouldn't ditch vB on my forum for anything, it has done me well. Ad User: Forum © XenAdShare from Surrey Forum
If i found a suitable reason to change yes would I started with mybb then SMF because i found SMF a better fit for me. Wanted more diversity in my niche since my competitor who was larger uses Phpbb3 and went xenforo and i just changed from xenforo to IPB. for now i am quite content and satisified. But for my new project i am about to work on, I actually eyeing VBulletin.
I would switch to whatever benefits me most. I don't see the reason to stick to the same one. If you were to come up with something today I would gladly use it if it were worth the trouble.
Same here. I don't see a point in switching. I've stuck with the same software for so many years now. I'm pleased, I'm happy.
If something better comes along, then yes. And better in this sense means the usual stuff; more/better designed features, a nicer default style, better/more modifications to use. I use what I think works best for my website, and if that turns out to be something I'm not using I use it.
My first forum uses Xenforo and I have no plans to change that any time soon. I want to build one or two more forums this year. At least one and then the third early next year. I plan on using Xenforo for both of those forums as well I'm happy with it and will stay with it. James
If you asked me a 3 years ago, I wouldn't trade vBulletin for anything. But since it was acquired by vBulletin, #@^& it. I ditched it. xenForo is the new baby for me!
I have no interest in moving away from vb3. While xenforo has caught my eye, I just do not see the value in porting everything over or upgrading since its working so well now.
