What type of vBull security are you offering? To re-write the code and remove all the security issues and bugs?

So hang on, at time of purchase a site owner needs to hand over all of this:

    - root
    - cpanel
    - SFTP/FTP
    - Admin Account

And to a company that seems to have sprung from nowhere?

I would strongly caution anyone against doing that unless they know EXACTLY what they are getting into.

vBulletin (and most forum software providers) can provide assistance in securing the installation itself.

AND - the company's site is new but they have installed vBSEO? Why would anyone do that now?

According to Whois your domain is registered to Darren Shan in Great Britain. Is this correct? Are you Darren Shan?

Ok. Before you "cation" anyone, All you've seen is a new service sprung and jumped to conclusions. The team we have on the forum are all trusted members one of them being an official moderator on webhostingtalk, All of us have at least had five year experience within each service we provide, each being friendly, knowledged and well respected.

As well as vBulletin offering an install service, it's overpriced, slow response while we have an API that sends all Service Staff on the forum a email, and phone notification to alert them when we a new client has arrived. I can guarantee as a vBulletin Install Service Provider, That i have the install done within 10 minutes as well as securing it from basic areas of exploitation such as SQL,XSS etc etc within that limited time space.

While, We are not a plugin service provider we can choose to install plugins as we please. I wouldn't trust new plugins such as DBSEO as they currently have a Remote Code Execution in all versions.

    Finally,

Those are the required logins we need in order to perform the service effectively.

If you could send me a screenshot of the error you are encountering i can assist you further.

I've jumped to no conclusions whatsoever. I've simply pointed out that any webmaster handing over all that information to a completely new, unheard of startup needs to do so with their eyes wide open.

Also vBSEO is known to be full of holes and completely unsupported, their site has even closed down. Meaning you must have already owned vBSEO from some time back - that further begs the question, who did you USED to be?

That someone claiming to secure software for people, particularly plugins, would then go and install a plugin like vBSEO frankly beggars belief. Not at all what I'd expect to see from a company that wants to have root access to people's sites.

As an aside, why do you need root server access to perform a simple install anyhow? It's not necessary in most cases.

Beyond that, good luck with your venture. Just remember vBulletin installs come with all the required product support for 30 days, are you going to help teach people how to use it once it's installed? You going to be there to answer dozens and dozens of questions as the user gets to know the product? What if your answers aren't correct since they aren't official?

Sorry if this all sounds harsh but if you're going to jump into this sort of market (especially if by doing so you're going to specifically denigrate the official vendor's established install service) you need to (a) win the absolute trust of potential clients and (b) know precisely what you're letting yourself in for. I'm currently unconvinced on either point.

Oh and this PM just about clinches it, sent to me a few minutes ago.
I wouldn't normally reproduce PMs but I think it's necessary here.

Are these the type of people you want to give root access to your server to? I really don't think so.

I have banned vbinstall for being disrespectful to a member in a PM. I have also closed his thread.
