Anyone else annoyed with all these multi page articles?

You know, the ones which split their content into fifty bajillion different parts and make you constantly click through more and more links to keep reading?

Because I am. I mean, I just now came across a site which had one article split over SEVEN pages, which meant I spent more time clicking through to each section than actually reading any of the content. And let's not even get me started on those Buzzfeed style sites which split every article into a twenty page slideshow that takes forever to get to the end of (probably because they know their 'article' is really just twenty lines long).

So yes, does anyone else find these things infuriating, and honestly just prefer reading the full 'piece' on a single page?

I don't mind if it's a long article. Beats scrolling. However, what bugs me is when each page has 2 paragraphs on them.

I agree, I prefer it if the article is long but I hate it when the majority of the page contains advertising and stuff of no relevance, particularly when I have to treasure hunt for a few lines of text.

And that's the other problem, at least 90% of these articles are just two pages and a picture on top, not anything even remotely worth reading.

It's even worse when they're just ill informed garbage too. Like that 'TV channels you don't need to care about list' some sites apparently ran which bashed on every single kids TV channel, BBC America and just about every channel outside the main four or five American ones. Bloody click bait crap.

Yup, very annoyed by this. A lot of rap/hip hop blogs do this.

I can't stand multipage articles...I don't care if I have to scroll. Gets them more ad-views, though, I bet ;)

Isn't it also bad for seo to have multi-page articles or not really?
